    Family fun!  Get involved with the Rutland Arts Alive arts and culture hop every month in 2008 on the second Friday of each month 5-8 p.m.  March's event is sponsored by the Chaffee Art Center (visit:  http://www.ChaffeeArtCenter.org)
    "The game's afoot" put your deductive talents to the test - exercise your intuitive skills!  The plot thickens...as the story goes...a painting's been stolen from the Chaffee Art Center and YOU are invited to solve the mystery!!!  The retail shops and galleries participating - each have a clue that gets you closer to apprehending the thief(s)!  The REWARD is $200.00!!!!!
    The cost for this evening of fun, art and culture is absolutely nothing! FREE!  AND when you stop in at Limoges Antiques Shop, 62 Merchants Row, Rutland - while looking for your clue - get a clue on what your piece of antique porcelain is valued at!!
    Author, appraiser, expert Debby DuBay will be providing complimentary verbal appraisals the entire evening!  We hope you can join us!!

    The Nineteenth Annual Conference of the Haviland Collectors International Foundation
    Hartford, Connecticut, June 12-15, 2008
    Conference Hotel:  Crowne Plaza

    "Haviland in New England", the HCIF Nineteenth Annual Conference, will be held June 12th - 15th, 2008, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Hartford, Connecticut.  A special room rate of $110.00 will be available June 10th - 16th, 2008.
    A special pre-conference tour to the Harriet Beecher Stowe and Mark Twain houses will be offered on Thursday June 12, 2008.  A luncheon will be served during your tour to the two houses.  The Mark Twain house does have Haviland China.
    The Dessert Reception that opens the Conference will feature nationally famous actor John Pogson as Mark Twain.
    Featured sessions will include "Hand Painted Haviland" by Debby DuBay, "Charles Field Haviland" by Nora Travis, and "Haviland in The Porcelain Museums of Limoges, France," by Annick Moreau-Feunteun.
    Registration Packets will be sent to members the last week of March.
    Come early and stay after the conference to visit the fabulous antique shops of New England.
